Last Post display on Index page of website, not forum home...
 

How would I go about doing what the people over at CBn have done in showing the last post to their forums on the front, index page of their entire website?

Use this query:

SELECT thread.*,user.userid FROM thread LEFT JOIN user ON (user.username=thread.lastposter) WHERE forumid NOT IN(1,2,3) ORDER BY lastpost DESC LIMIT 1

Just make sure to edit this part, the numbers are forum id's that you dont want included.

NOT IN(1,2,3)
