mySQL 4 became stable yesterday.

/me waits for SD to upgrade viperhost so he can have row level locking.

Lots of inprovements over mySQL 3, anyone running their own server sould really think about upgrading their servers.

ViperHost is not too far away from upgrading :). I downloaded MySQL 4.0 and went to install it, but errors ran amock, so I am waiting on CPanel to complete their build before we proceed any further.

It should not be long, a thread dedicated to it has been started, the usually follow on software updates, sadly, some of their features are lacking functionality.

I asked my host just now via a ticket. I'm betting they'll do it with a CPanel upgrade.

Remember it only came out a few days ago and they're migrating all of their servers to a new NOC over the next few months.
