Mouseover on threads displays first few sentences of post
 

HI all,

My first post here. these forums look great, excellent job to all involved :)

I was just wondering how you guys have managed to popup a description box of the first few lines of a threads post when you moseover the thread title (such as what they have implemented here on vbulletin templates). It's a great addon and would love to be able to use it on my boards.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I think it's a hack but I'm not sure.

But it's built into vB3.

VB3, i thought that was still in beta?

i only recently upgraded to 2.3 and have been waiting for the official 3.0 release (i'm a little concered about upgrading to a beta version of the release) :)

P.. ive searched vbulletin.org for a hack to do this in 2.x versions and havent as yet had any success. if i find one, or if i manage to be able to create one myself i'll post it here incase there are other users who are interested :)

yeh I noticed that shortly after i made my post Toni. hows it working out? Have there been many bugs, or is it smooth sailing? I noticed they seem to have integrated (and improved) the quick reply box :)

It's currently going quite smoothly. We may even get a public beta sooner then we think. ;)
