can I put a vBulletin modz section on my board for downloads??
I am thinking of doing this but don't want to infringe on any copyrights and such.

Yes, you can...but you may not use any hack published at vBulletin.org, or any modification published here for that matter (unless of course they are your own, or you have perrmission from the mod/hack author). Also you cant post vB source files for download, In addition you have no way of telling if anyone is a legit vB owner.

this is true on the lic I don't want to get into trouble. I am still thinking on this one not sure if I want to do it or not.

IMO, unless you want to publish your own mods in a forum at your board, its really not wroth your time :)

that is exactly what I was thinking hopefully I will learn a little php,vbulletin and release some mods myself

If I where you I'd just release them over at vBulletin.org

If you release heaps and heaps of mods you could have your own support board. But, not many do release enough for a support forum of their own. Best to post them at the template/hack official sites. People can use the mods more here and easier support instead of having to follow to a section or board.
