Loo-Portal.
 

With the public beta of vB 3 coming out any week now im thinking of not even releasing loo-portal for vB 2.x.x and work on a version for vB 3 when it is released. Im posting this poll to see if there is a good demand for a hackless portal for vB 2, if not I will not release the script (for vB 2 anyway).

If there is a good demand out there ill have it out soon, but i have other projects lined up for my site right now, so it may still be awhile.

Well if you have time, I'd say you work on a 2.x release and then a 3.x release. If you have minimum time, I'd just do one for vb3 although you'd need to wait until it's released and until you've coded it before anyone can see it. The bigger demand will be for v2 though, not v3 ATM. You never know what might happen with vB3.

I go with Tony...... many people will be a little scared to run vB3 at first with not many hacks out....... I'll most likely stay with 2.3.0 for about a month after vB3 :)

vB3 I beleiev was going to have an optional CMS you can purchase for it. I am not sure about timeline or even prices, but I think when/if I ever upgrade, I would likely do that. So unless amazingly outstanding, I doubt I would use a vb3 portal.

Well, the template-only based system might get the popularity.

well i would like to use and see it. i am not in abig rush for vb3.

Depends on the code, how well it's written. vbHome is pretty tight, and its what I use. I could careless about vb3 right about now.

vBHome uses file edits, it's the template-only thingy that should be somewhat of a lure.

I say wait until 3.0 is released and do it for 3.0; if you have the time, both would be nice :).
