For registrations....
 
Is there a way to make it necessary that the person registering MUST enter a birthdate? This would obviously fall in line with COPPA users and would help boards who have to grant access to newly registered members. I am sick of e-mailing newly registered members because they haven't entered a birthdate. We have the board set up where we grant access to newly registered members due to issues we've had in the past. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Admin CP > Profile Fields, change birthday to required.

Hmmm, I don't have that as a profile field though, I suppose I should enter it...

By doing this will I now have 2 Birthdate fields? I mean currently it says the one that is there is optional, is there anyway to remove it saying it is optional?

Whoops, I saw "Biography" instead of "Birthday."

I'm pretty sure there isn't a template-based solution so please ask at the vB.org/vB.com duo.

Ok, I just did it as a profile field. It will be the easiest way to manage it I suppose...
