Log In Problem.. Help Needed ASAP

I'm not sure what I did, but now every time I go to log in, it says logged in and taking me back to where I was but when it gets there I am no longer logged in? Please someone help me with this problem

EDIT: If I go to New Thread\Reply and log in, I seem to be able to stay logged in through out the site, but I can not log in from the forumhome page.. [ex]

oh yea.. VB Version 2.2.7

It's probably a cookie problem? But I don't see how template editing can affect this.

Yeah, definatly sounds like a cookie problem. I had a few problems similar to that. Check your options in your admin cp and check your cookies see if it's set up right.

ie: .yoursite.com

I don't know either but after I edited my forumhome templates this has been happening, now I get "Invalid Thread" whenever I try to reply or start a new thread. Does anyone here know which files of VB contain the login codes and around what line? That might be the problem also as I modd'd them but didnt have a problem at the time.

I'm using it on localhost now, I want to make sure I had no problems before uploading it to the web, but I'm pretty sure I filled that part in right.

EDIT: Now that I went to check it again, it's blank, but every time I try to change it and save the changes I get Log In screen for the administrator and when I enter the log in it doesnt save the settings I just changed. And it's a cycle like that for everything. Very frustrating [mad]

Well, I would be guessing it was at leasr file hacking that screwed that up.
