vBulletin vs. OpenBB vs. The Whole World
 

So I found yesterday a nice board called OpenBB(.com) which looks like vbulletin in some manner. I'm even thinking of using it, because it has less options (all of that stuff, which is in vb), but it still needs to be modified. At least the default design is 100 times better than that of vB.

So come on share, what do you thik about other forums - is vb the king or not?! :cool:

O yea, openbb is begin disscontinued and the team is coding a new project last i heard.

vB is the king...... as long as they keep developing vB it always will be..... and yes that was a stupid question to ask here

Your sortof right although not fully. Lol. Yes, we are still developing on the current base of OpenBB but myself and Pete Hall are working on OBB2. The next big thing to hit free Bulletin Boards. ;)

Are you saying that my freelancing time and skills mean nothing? ;)

i must like vbulletin better... thats why i bought it.... and didnt use my time working on free bb's.

I just hope some free forum knocks IPB off it's little podeum! :p

and then phpbb comes in second...I just don't like IBF..because...well..it's kinda like Windows...they try to make it user friendly...and the make it...ehem...crappy.

I like phpbb alot too, for my free liking. :)

Either way no free product can compete with a paid one. I like phpBB, the installation is much simpler than vB, but from what I've heard it scales horribly and the template editing is not as easy.

You try telling IPB lovers that. :p
