This alters your database structure but doesn't add any queries; you'll need to know how to use phpMyAdmin to edit the icons.

No, what if you have spaces or other characters in the title?

You could do images/$forum[forumid].gif if you wanted but that doesn't make the filenames very memorable.

It looks exactly like what I've been running at my board (zelaron.com/forums) for several months, minus the larger forumhome icons.
