Question to template modders:
Me being one I hope :D
Anyway, this is just a quick question, I was wondering, say when you modify a template *a lot*, what do you do? Just make the modifications...or, like me, delete the entire contents of the template and start over? |
Depends on the template. If I edit it to the point of no return it's deleted and done in Dreamweaver. If it's little bits everywhere then I edit the existing one.
|
I do what filburt does - except with out dreamweaver (All my code is preduced in notepad)
|
filburt, you use dreamweaver?! Why not notepad...like ffdcsite and I...notepad owns :D
|
Okay, no offense (and don't take this literally either :D) but people who claim Notepad is god are idiots.
1. Can't do table layouts 2. Doesn't automatically indent 3. No one-key previewing 4. Doesn't automatically specify image widths and heights--a good idea as it speeds page loading 2 is inexcusable. At the bare minimum use something like Arachnophilia. |
Thats true filburt, thats the only reason I use Wordpad other notpad.
But I know too much about tables to use dreamweaver or anything like that. |
I use metapad...notepad sucks, its soooo...microsoft...
|
notepad does me fine, I can do indenting myself if I need to...
I can code tables without using dreamweaver stuff Ctrl+S and then refresh the browser window with the page loaded up there...simple enough for me I can specify them myself ;) |

Yeah, thats a good point.
I must admit dreamweaver is good - though I think its better to do the code yourself for practice:) |
