major Help!
 

Um im a noob at vb and i wanted to kno how to make the forums look ANYthing liek this one with not just d/l a style (i want ta do it my self)

first of all how do you get the boards to be all nice and narrow.. and then have a bg image behind it..

then how to you make postbit like this one..

then um... how do you make the forums catagorys have a nice top (image) all nice an beveled sorta ...

anyhelp would do at all.

Basically all of those are modifications you can find at this forum :)


Btw, the narrowness is the "Content Table Width" when you edit your style

well.. i'm guessing its either about 70% or 80%

EDIT: thanx it looks more like 80% thanx now all need ta do is figure how ta make everything else i asked about.

most of this is fairly complicated if you try and do it your self... just have a lok through the Template Mods and Postbits and find one you like :) and see how they work and how to make your own, then make it and share it here :) easy as that (well ok not very easy)

**** i wish it was that ez.. im am working on the vB defaule template and i cant even figure out how to take away the white borders on the forums main page.. o well i think i need to learn the header thing first

on the default, the white thing that goes across the top, is an image
menu_background.gif :)

so where would i take that out.. in the header template?
