Postbit: what is it and how?

Hi!

I'm new here and i discover yesterday about this postbit thing. I've understood it's a layout based on template but not that much... IS it similar to ModphpBB compared to phpBB or is it just a "addon"?

I've seen lot of post about modification but as i've just installed VBB 2.2.8, i suppose i have to install something else before! I mean i read some file to edit i don't have...

In few words, could someone direct me to a description of what postbi is and where to get the "package" if any?

Thanks and congrats for the layout!

The postbit template is a template with when edited changes the look/style of a thread. It comes standard in vBulletin. To edit your postbit, go to your Admin CP, look for 'Templates' click modify. Then look for 'Postbit Templates' click expand, and the template is in there, named postbit.

You can download some postbits here - which ever one you want. There will be a .txt file explaining on what you need to do.

No supposed to be hard, now is it? ;) - that's why so many people use vBulletin :)

Correction - It's just the post tables. Anything outside the post tables on the thread page is in the showthread template. ;)
