I'm currently working on a replacement display system for admin/template.php as I really can't get on with the new system...

It still needs a few tweaks here and there, but everything works so far, and it reduces the downloaded HTML by about 600%, resulting in a much leaner, faster system.

I'm only modifying the display code for this modification, so once it's finished I'll post instructions for how to hack this into your own control panel should you want it.

The control panel is a bit rough around the edges still. Admin HTML always is at the end of the list of things to do.

freddie, theres a ton of freatures that dont bug me, overall i love v2, there are a few things that bug me, at first, i made a half dozen style sets, but loading the tempates in my CP took forever! i ended updeleteing them all for now, i may add them later. I dont know if Kier's hack will fix load time, as it still has to pull up all the names of the templates. If i had my way, i would have a link to each template set, instead of having them all listed on one page.

Hmm, after thinging about this more, i kinda like the stock layout, i just dont like how all templates from all styles are on one page... The only thing i would change other then that, is some kind of index's for the templates.... So finding them would be easyer.

one of the major advantages of using a <select> instead of a list of <a href=xxx> tags is that you can click on the <select>, press a key, and hey presto, the selection jumps to the first entry beginning with the character you entered...

Looks awesome...how long before a release? I am dying here trying to get through all the templates!
