Cat/Title bar backgrounds...
 

Is there an easy way to change the forum title bar/category and other title backgrounds from solid colors to an image?

Heres what im talking about....

I know its been talked about before, but i searched all over and couldnt find how to do it without modifying every **** template. Has to be an easy way around this.

Yes, find the <td> tag in forumhome template, and just use this:

background="/images/filenamehere.fileending"

Upload the image into your vB image directory. And then link how shown above.

Hm, so I guess i do have to go through each template and make the appropriate changes...that kinda sucks

How easy would it be if in the style editor when you select the colors for the title bars/cat bars you could select background image and insert the path there and automatically have vbulletin set it throughout the site. Hmmmm sounds like a practical idea to me! :)

or you could go to your style and find the place where it says "category background color" and insert the following

#the color it would normally be(657557)" background="{imagesfolder}/filename.fileending"

Its much easier

I knew it had something to do with the style boxes, it had to be that easy...and yes it was, i just wasnt that clever :)

theres a second trick to work i belive if were talking about the cat

" background="path/to/filename

:) but it will mess up your scrollbar abit
