Changing default colors

I am new to vB, and would like to change the way that my default style looks. I want to get rid of the purple colors, and perhaps modify the tables, and the backgrounds. What is the best, and easiest way to go about doing this?

Thanks

Admin Cp > Styles > modify default > font and text properties > Then in there it will have all the colors that are changable listed just plug in the different hex codes to get different colors.

Okay.. I found this.. but I can not seem to change the purple background of the entire page. It has a page background color option, but when I change that, it just changes the color of the small horizontal line sepparating the header and forum lists.

Look for something that says body tag and it'll look something like this <body bgcolor="#666696" text="#000000" id="all" leftmargin="10" topmargin="10" marginwidth="10" marginheight="10" link="#000020" vlink="#000020" alink="#000020">

Change the part that says body bgcolor= to what ever you want the color to be. So instead of <body bgcolor="#666696" I'll put <body bgcolor="#8896A7"

Alrighty got it.. now, how do I shrink the entire table of the vB, to say 80%.. i dont wanna make it take up the whole page

Go to admin Cp > Modify the style you want shrunk > Then in the edit page you'll see a category that says tables > Change Main Table Width from 100% to 80% or you can change it to an exact size you want by changing the % to px. Hope that helps.
