Help Change Colors

need a little help with a simple color modification of my board. The address is www.punkbulletin.com. I would like for the backgrounds of the "General Discussion" and "Music" areas to be a different color--so that they will at least stand out as main categories.

Is this possible? Thanks.

Link doesn't work :/

It's because of the period at the end of the sentence.

www.punkbulletin.com

(I haven't had time to screw with the colors and logo yet... trying to get everything where I want it first.)

Stupid question or what?
I know sitepointforums.com has done it.

Well looks like they have it set up that it alternates colors every other forum in a category. I dont know if it is possible to single out one or two forums alone. If it is I'd be interested in seeing how it's done also.

if it's what I think you are asking it is easy to alternate the forum colours via your style options in your panel

It's not. He only wants to single out two forums not alternate all of them so that the two forums stand out and show that they are the main forums of the Board.

Right. They're not forums, just the categories the forums belong into... like "General discussion" and "Music."

Oh so you just want the one category to be a certain color instead of the color of the forum discription thing? That's a simple fix. Go to admin panel then go to modify the style that you want to change te cat color. Then look for the spot that says

Category Strip Background Color: #something

Change the hex number to a different color that you want it to be. If it's not that I' confused on what your asking and I'll leave it to tony or ffdcsite :)

He's saying diff colors for diff categories, which ould require code hacking. Ask at www.vbulletin.org .
