Template Tutorials?

ahoy.
I have been getting pretty comfortable withhacking vB, lately I have been able to script some pretty nice hacks of my own for some of the forums I have been working on, the hardest thing I have found about editing templates is knowing which template does what. I was wondering if there were any tutorials out there which directed you to which template did what. It would really help me alot.

I don't think there is a detailed description of every template availible, there are a few readme's in the vB members area, but that is about it. There are too many template to document (or at least I feel) with vB3 on the way, that will surely double or tripple.

It is best to just play around with them.
