No idea most of the time

Hi, I run a board that is a combination of VBPortal and VB so I really have two homepages (awaiting the new VB3.0), not always happy with VBP.

I have fiddled with things and have differing menus for each home page. Within these pages I also have DigiChat integrated via a hack from vb.org. I would like to know how to create a third header menu template for people who enter the chat page. Or how to simply change the buttons if that's all I need to do. I can't figure out how to do it. I was playing with templates so I figure thats what has to be done.

VBP page has Forums, UserCP, Register, Calendar, Members, FAQ, Search
VB page has Home, Chat, Register, Calendar, Members, FAQ, Search
Chat Page want Home, Forums (all that is needed or should be there).

The buttons on the Chat page work now but are identical to VB page. I have tried to do this but fail in my attempts. And on top of this when I enter chat and then back out I am stuck in the frame even after I target _parent on any link out.

I hope you understand the request.

My board is Cascarwest Button sets were purchased from vBGFX Sales, where can buy other colors to spruce things up a bit more.

Anyway I received an email from this site saying I had not posted yet ... so here I am.

Thank you

TVwatcher

ps. What you ppl do here and on other VB sites is great work. I look around see ppl with cool design abilities. I would like to say I have time to keep up with the thousands of changes one can do. But I fall into the other category where I follow the instructions and most of the time it works.

Thank you for your post, but unfortunately, the request that you're making involves a hack. vBT doesn't support hacks, only template edits. So, for help, I'd suggest that you try vBulletin.org.

Sorry I guess you did not understand.

No problem. It happens a lot here and we just have to be diligent about restricting the content otherwise it would get out of control.

Besides, we're all learning vB in some way. :)
