Well, I was trying to think of a way to help out the vBulletin community, and I was thinking of making a site that is like WinCustomize.com but with vBulletin stuff. I thought of the name, vBulletin Customize, I know it isn't the greatest, so if you could think of another name, please reply with it. As long as it has vBulletin in the begging.

It would have all the templates, buttons, styles, everything on it. But maybe if this turns into a a real thing, I could have Chen (FireFly) come over and maybe code the hack thing so people would have to have the license to get the hacks. This in NO way would be associated with Jelsoft or vBulletin.

Some buttons would be free and maybe some a few dollars, but they would be good :D

I have also asked SaintDog if he doesn't mined the "vBulletinNAMEHERE" because he owns a lot of those types of domains and I didn't want it to get mistaken.

I will tell you know that Jelsoft or any of the vB team won't officially support a site charging a fee for addons, freddie mentioned this at vB.org

I know, I said that this site will have nothing to do with Jelsoft. But, if I guess I will probably make them free because of the point you just made. Thanks.

I will tell you right now, Jelsoft will not allow you to see who is licensed and who is not, it would be an invasion of privacy and many users would get mad as some run private boards. As far as I know, this would also require you to be on their server, not one of your own.

yea, there are already great sites for these things that are established. (ex: vbulletin.org, vbulletingraphics, vbulletintemplates)

Well, it's actually not a bad idea, it's just that it's kind of already been done. I do wish that Jelsoft would show a list of these support sites so that everyone would be aware of them.

I know that vB.org is on their servers and they have moved all the hacking threads to them, but it'd be nice if they did the same for template edits for vBTemplates.com and graphics to vBGraphics.com. That way, those sites that specialize in that stuff gain the extra traffic and at the same time provide the quality support as well.

I think vBTemplates.com is a HUGE help and has become my #1 resource for editing my board. It only makes sense to me that Jelsoft partner up and defer all template disucssion here.

If anything of the such ever happened, I believe Jelsoft would make it so that vBT is on their servers as well, they would not redirect them to the site on it's current server.

Maybe in the long run something will happen ;) (the board is doing pretty well right now ;)).
