"There's an error with the forums database"
Would it be possible to create a hook that forwards the users to a predefined site/file when e.g. mysql is down on the server?
It's quite annoying that the users only get to see the "There's an error with the forums database" message. I'd like to create a error.html file which contain the forum design (just including the css), and explains a bit better what the problem is - or just a "We're back in a few" message. Obviously, it would be best if the hook/mod could send an error mail BEFORE the user is forwarded to the predefined site/file. |
