No problem. Please post if you find any issues with this.

I alrady coded it some time ago, so i just packaged it now to release.

I added the avatar via the ACP, however it did not show up in the avatar listing, so I edited another avatar, and changed the filepath to the .swf file, and it worked. I tried upping another swf file to add and encountered the same thing: it was not recognized until I manually edited the filepath of an existing avatar. Any ideas?

Could you please double check your edits, and post exactly what you do. I can not get the result you are describing on my testboard.

Marco van Herwaarden 06-15-2005 01:06 PM

I just installed it on a clean vB3.0.7 testboard and i have no problems at all.

After install i did the following:

AdminCP->Avatars->Upload Avatar:
- Filename: (Select a swf-file from my PC)
- Title: Test new flash avatar
- Click Upload

Now i am returned to the Avatar Manager, where i immediate can see my new Avatar.
From UserCP->Edit Avatar i can select it.

I really can not find the problem you are describing.

I checked my edits twice and they seem to be fine. Is this hack supposed to make it so users have to use swf only, or is it supposed to give the option to also choose swf? The reason I am asking is because after adding this hack all of the other members avatars are not viewable in the forum view, but they are viewable by the ACP and User CP and profile. I have a heavily hacked board, so I am likely to believe that there is simply a conflict with another hack, however the only other avatar-based hack I am using is this one: http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mo...ead.php?t=6290

Users should be able to select any avatar they are allowed to. Users will (in the way they select) not even notice the difference between a Flash and a "normal" Avatar. Uploading new Flash Avatars however is limited to AdminCP for security reasons.

Please define "forum view".

Could you PM me a link that has the problem?

PS I have no idea if that Opacity hack would have an influence, i guess yes.

Any idea of where its possible to download flash avatars? Ive done searches but drew nothing.
