DB import script or similar help needed!
 

To make a VERY long story short, my webhost changed from cpanel to something else not too long ago. In the process, they somehow managed to lose my database. Now, my website shows up and works completely fine. Yet the database doesn't show up anywhere. They had me make a new database and a backup of the current one, hoping then to import it into the new one.

But the only way we could see to do that only allows up to a certain size and my db is bigger than the limit. So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or if there is a database import script or SOMETHING.

As soon as this problem is fixed, I'm switching hosts. I've never heard of something this unprofessional, from losing the db to the way it is (or isn't) being handled/fixed. I'm so freakin ticked off. Argh!

Your host should be able to restore a database of anysize using the commandline mysql. If you have SSH/Telnet access you could do it yourself. If you need help with this, check the documentation at vbulletin.com on restoring a database using SSH.

Only webbased restores will fail on big backup files.
