last post links take you to an error page, instead of the thread
 

In my forum index when you click on the last post icon http://fumbalaya.com/boards/images/buttons/lastpost.gif, or the display of the latest thread, it takes you here(which says "No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster") instead of last posted-on thread in that given forum. This also happens inside a given forum when you click on "last post" or the last post icon.

I have almost every hack in the book, vb 3.0.7 . The last ones installed before this started happening were

1. Ajax Fast Open Close Threads
2. Moderator Application
3. Quick edit
4. vBFavorite
5. Statistic link in footer
6. Compress Styles

any ideas? Is it a template issue like lastpostinfo, a database issue or a php file error?

I just checked on my other styles and apparently the problem is still there, so it isnt a template issue, must be an error in one of the php files. my question is which one?

My guess is that you installed some mod-rewrite rules that mess up your links.

any idea which of the hacks would have caused such problems?

At a guess, it's the Template Compression..it can do some funny things to certain templates.

I would try going into each of the FORUMHOME templates and just saving them. That seems to fix the problems I have when I Compress my templates.

The problem occured before modrewrite hack applied. After uninstalling template compression the issue still stays here so it is not that also. Ajax is not responsible from it also.
Any other ideas ?
When you copy shortcut it gives you the link http://fumbalaya.com/boards/showthre...ewpost&t=21481
but if you click on it it takes you to http://fumbalaya.com/boards/showthread.php?p=#post
the problem is the board cannot get the post or thread id. Why can this be ?

upload an unmodified showthread.php and see if that fixes it - if it does then you are halfway to finding the problem.

It helped thanks. Now it is time to figure out which hack caused this problem :)
