I done the install, have made the changes and edited EVERYTHING on the backend, except I cannot figure out how to edit the template for this hack to work. I have a custom template for a custom postbit that I d/l from one of the users here (thanks!), but as this is custom the instructions obviously dont fit everything to a T.

What do I need to do to get this hack working with my template? Where do I start?

I will pay for this if you are an estabished member of this forum :)
