Converting phpbb Styles to vB
 

I have 3 styles from my old phpbb boards that I want to use with vB. Does anyone know how to convert these styles to use with vB? Is it just a matter of uploading the images or creating brand new templates or what? I have no experience at all with skinning vB so please keep that in mind when responding.

You do it by hand and you crate a new style or you pay someone to do it, and they do it the way I explained :)

Ok that is what I figured. LOL Next question, say I want to do it by hand can you point me in the right direction to editing styles and templates or do you know anyone that currently does this for pay? I'm sure the pay route is the easiest route for me since I have no idea what I'm doing but I can read a manual or tutorial to attempt to try an do it.

You will need to upload the images you will use into the right folders (replacing the originals) and then edit the style manager in vBulletin.

The best thing to do is look at the css for the phpBB style and find the hex colours that you will use in vBulletin,i have already done 2 for my forum (with the authors permission).

You will get the hang of it and the hardest part would be the header and navbar (depending on the style) but the vB style manager is pretty straight forward.

Have you got a link to the styles that you want to use.

Know html and do the conversion based on the new code.

You are basicly going to recode the style from scratch.

Style 1
Style 2
Style 3
Style 4

Each one of these styles I want to use for a different forum. So for example the main forum uses the default vB style and then the Game 1 catagory uses style 1, Game 2 catagory uses style 2 etc etc.

They don't have to match exactly like the phpbb style but overall have the same look.
