unlimited text in forum description?

is there a way to make it unlimited text in the forum description?

Don't hold me to this one. Change the description field in the forum table from type TEXT to type LONGTEXT. Test it and be prepared to change it back if things don't work! It won't be unlimmited, but it will be more than you'll need.
