Private Messaging reasons for deletion from inside modcp/admincp
Hi everyone,
One of the things we would love to be able to do on our forum is give the Moderators the ability to post a reason for a post deletion that is emailed to the writer of the post (or send via Private Message) from inside the mod/admin control panel. If a post needs to be deleted, the Moderator can send a Private Message to the member who wrote it, letting them know "why". Ideally, this message would include: The username of the moderator. A copy of the post. The mod's reason for the deletion. Even more ideally would be the additional option for the member to re-submit their post with changes, but that is not important if too hard... Any help/advice would be brilliant :-) Thanks! Anna |
If this is an option for you, i would suggest to wait for vB3.5. Moderation should have a lot of improvements in that release.

Hi there,
Thanks for that suggestion - do you know how far away that release is? Anna :-) |
There should be a public beta release somewhere next month according to the latest info at vbulletin.com
|
Thank you! :-)
