Smilies replacement text - Match whole word?
 

Say your replacement text for the razz smiley is "colon p" and you have another smiley for a puppy so it's "colon puppy colon".

Well, what you get is this :puppy:

Don't even think about :pirate: or :pumpkin:

So...I tried to add a space after the replacement text for the razz so it is "colon p space" hoping that it would only replace "colon p" if there's a space after it, but vb just removes the space.

Hey...after viewing my post here I noticed that :pirate: does actually work...is that a mod or am I doing something wrong?

Nevermind, I found a mod. :)

The best way I've found is your smilies like : P use capitals, same as : O

Then the smilie images I load up into the images/smilies folder I make 8 characters long all lowercase.

This makes sure that I never have a duplicate :)

Then the code to replace is :nameofsmilie:

No code will ever be duplicated for any smilies using this system :) I currently have pushing 150 smilies on my board :)
