Gmail loses control ?
 

after 5 hours away from my computer, and one surprise when I'm back, Gmail notifier tells me that I have 60+ new mails ! WTF

and 98% is spam, all are in my inbox. I know I was stupid posting my email somewhere but is this how gmail supposed to control spam ?

While typing this I still keep getting new mails, the number is 70+ already. I thought 272 mails in my spam box was enough, lol.

That's nothing, I had 1242 spam emails in my spam box for my gmail account a few days ago...sigh..when will it end?

The only spam I get is from friends. :D

all of my spam is from .de server, mean Germany, I couldn't understand who the heck are they. they keep spamming me over and over with names of any kind.

I rarely get any spam, because hardly anyone has my email ;)

It's simple, don't give your email out on pages that are spiderable by google like forums etc, and only use your main gmail account for websites that seem trustworthy from your own opinion :) I have yet to receieve any spam on gmail ;)

I am using 3 gmail accounts. The only one that gets any spam, is the one i use for "untrusted sites".

If possible, use <youraccount>+something@gmail.com so if you get SPAM, you know which one is responsible.

There's been a worm going around lately regarding German spam.

But in general it seems Google's spam filters have been failing lately.
