Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer

You say some of your members are getting the error while others aren't. Sounds like a server problem. That is what it was when it happened to my old site. Since changing servers I haven't had the problem once.

yup, weird enough myself and others have NEVER once received this error, yet some people have been complaining about receiving it all the time.

See what happens, ill contact them. im sure they will blame vbulletin as usual

Seems like a DNS issue, this is not related to vBulletin or hacks at all

Your lucky. My old server got nearly everyone at some point or another. I went a span of nealy 2 weeks not being able to reach my site. I could reach my control panel for my site, but not the site.

It didn't matter how many times I asked them to fix it, it was always someone else's fault but theirs. It was our users isp (we have users from all over the world surely that isn't it), it was our computer settings, it was our whatever, but never them.

We have been on our new server little over a month. Not once has anyone had that problem agian. Not that I thought we would.

I see you got miserable users hack installed. Could it be that these users are in the mis. users list (or someone who happens to have visited your site from the same IP)?

no, i dont believe so. Because miserable is set to the default settings and once tested on myself caused such pain and suffering that i couldnt go on. LOL

Theres a few people (maybe 5 out of 3500) in the miserable grouping. And even one of our admins is having an issue. I myself am having none at all.

The site issues started coming before miserable was even installed as well, but i assumed it was client side for the few members that complained. Then the 1 admin started getting it as well

Report the error to you host. Clearly state to them that you have covered all your ground. It is not the software, it isn't the users isp's, it isnt' the user's computers, ask them to please give a look at the way your site is routed out to the net world. It can't hurt to have the look at their options.

Actually, chances are if only some users are expircing this, its on their end.

Server / software issues are everyone or no one for the most part.
