MySQL vs Flat Files
I read somewhere that flat files are overused in vBulletin and it's hacking and thus i'm wondering what you all feel?
|
Hmm... what default vb features or hacks make use of flat files?
I know you can choose to store attachments, css and a few other things as a flat file but those work better in the file system anyway. I can think of maybe 1 or 2 hacks that store logs as a flat file rather than in the db and I think that was because it was simpler to do. |

what is the point of this thread? no forum information is stored in as flat files and php has to be in a file to work. obviously who ever wrote what you read is an idiot who has never used vBulletin.
