VB BlackList

How do I make it so users with a certain @something.com cannot sign up? Is there away to put all banned emails or spam known domain address in like a text file or something to stop it (like movabletypes MT BlackList)

Well we have all seen the Movabletype (blog publishing software) fans make a mod known as the MT black list which is a text file to stop comments with certain emails and known text in commenting on post entrys see here.

So why does'nt the VB fans and owners come up with a simaler mod free for all licenced vb users to use on there boards? If anyone interested in working on this with me post!

Add the urls and ips to the banned domains list in the admincp and they wont be able to register.

vSpamScan, one of my hacks, also uses a blacklist to block spam posts regardless of the email they provide by scanning the url links for spam domains off a list with around 20,000 entries. It uses the MoveableType blacklist as is and with Jay Allen's direct permission.
