Sql Connection Error.

Ok I am not going to post the error message right now cause im at work and cant access my home email ( sad but true). The problem I seem to be getting is that the sql database is losing connection for vbchat. All the error message says is "connection failed".

I beleive what is happening is that my members "guilt here too" are joining the chat via whos online. When this occurs no pop up box is made and it opens the chat in the same window whos online was in.

This is not a huge problem, but any info anyone can provide would be appreciated.

You would really have to post the error message in order to get a reply i think.

If you only get this error occasionally it would mean that your server gets overloaded.

Could you try running the following query while you are getting this problem. (do it in SSH or phpMyAdmin.
[sql]SHOW FULL PROCESSLIST;[/sql]

Wow! God I hope not as there are normally onyl 6 or so users on at a time :P

However in my efforts to replicate the error I beleive when I go to whos online and see someone in chat and click the link to join while in whos online, I get the error in my email...

Thank you for the query though as it will come in handy. :)

I really think this may a bug ZT.

You already have output from that query?

Corriewf 05-16-2005 10:27 PM

No what im saying is that normally a user clicks o the navbar and it opens the chat in an seperate window, which script runs to show whos online ect, well when viewing whos online if some sees another person in chat and then clicks on the link there is opens chat in that same window. I beleive when that happens the proper script is not being ran so its causing sql errors.
