[request] Who's Online Logging

A lot of us as administrators like to see what our users are doing when they're online. It's nice to know when they encounter error messages, when they try to go into boards they don't have access to, and what the "average session" might consist of for most users. This could be used for elevated security, and also as a means to find out what better to target your audience with.

As seen in this thread here, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=80605, I'd like to request a means to have the detailed "Who's Online" to log itself in a textfile, since as administrators, we cannot be on our boards 24/7.

Tell me what you want to log, and I will write a simple include file that you will add to your include directory and then add (2) lines to one file and it will log what ever you want. I would just have it log to a file out of the web root and then setup a cron in the Admin Panel to run daily to have the log emailed to you...

Just tell me what you want to log...

When you click the "Currently Active" portion on your forum and it shows you "Who's Online," in other words, online.php. ;)

Hi

Again tell me what you want to log! I not going to guess because there are way to many things that can be logged.

I guess there is an error of communication here, as I'm not sure how to be any clearer.

When an administrator views the "Who's Online" portion, it'll show users view the forum.

User1 - Viewing profile (profile of User3)
User2 - Viewing thread (thread "Thread1")
User3 - Viewing thread (thread "Thread2")
User4 - Viewing forum (forum "Forum1" error page/restricted access)

Etc.

I want what the users are doing logged. If it requires it to be one user at a time, that would be fine, too. IE; only "User1" is logged.

Is that okay?

I guess not.. :(
