Make a forum pull threads from another. Possible?
 

I'll try to explain this briefly what I'm trying to do so hopefully someone can help.

I use my forum for discussion, but also to provide news.

I'd like to break the news down into subcategories, but have all the discussion in one forum.

Basically like this...

Visible: General News - pulls all threads from a list of specific subcategory forums and allows discussion of these topics.

Invisible: Several specific news forums - Original topics posted in these forums by moderators and outputed to portal software and automatically pulled in by the General News forum for discussion, but the forum itself invisible to forum users.

Hopefully I explained that well enough. Has anyone here done something like this before or being willing to help me figure it out?
