need review from experienced coder
 

alright, i made a hack which is almost complete but would like someone with experience to review the code.

hack details [split posts]

i dislike the current split thread/post feature so i created something a bit different.

each post has a "move" link something like thread.php?split=NNNN (NNNN being the postid)

it selects that post and all its parents and moves it into a new thread into the same forum the split was made from.

then it makes a new post in the thread that was split and tells everyone that the post that was there was moved and provides a link to the new thread.

i do have quite a bit of experience in php, but would like a second person to review the code since it deals with building new post index/updating post/thread count and updating post with different IDs and parentids.
