A hack that will link a thread title to a url

I'm looking for a hack that will hotlink a thread title to a url - something that works like vB's forum links do but at the thread level. You can specify a thread title, a URL and make the thread sticky

The thread itself doesn't/shouldn't need to have any content besides the required post to set up the link.
