Moderator Avatar Options

My Moderators are asking to be able to change their own avatars (and ideally other people's). Is the only current way to just give limited access to the Admin CP?

Ideally I'd like a hack that allows them to edit avatars and usernames. I'm running vB 3.0.1

Thanks for any help

Uhm.

You could set them to Administrator and only allow them User Admin Permissions.

That way they could edit member's avatars and still be a moderator.

Well I did mention whether that's the only current way (limited access to the Admin CP). It's just that I don't need to enable all the User Admin Permissions for the group. But I was interested to know if there was a more precise hack available for the two features I was looking for.

Thanks anyway, I'll keep an eye out but probably just go with the limited Admin CP option as I haven't seen anything yet.

Create a moderator usergroup if you dont already have one and you can set the permission setting to allow them to change the avatars. Then add your mods into the moderator usergroup.

Can't believe I missed that option, you'll have to forgive my lack of experience. I can't see anything to allow editing for other users though, but this'll do very nicely.

Many thanks.

No problem we all start somewhere.

As for the second part, ... go into your admincp,... go to forums and moderators. Click the mod drop down box and edit your moderator.

You will see: User Permissions

Under that you can let your mods edit user sigs and avatars and a few other things.

Thanks, is there a way to edit these permissions for Super Moderators who by default moderate the whole Forum and don't show up on the Normal Moderator list? Would it be easier just to give them a Moderator position as a Secondary Group?
