Alternate Login Method
 

I want to auto login users from my own login screen. I've already created the account in the vb_user table, and users can login using the vb login after creating an account with my login script, but I'd like to allow them to login to the bulletin when they login to my site. I've set the userid and the password cookies and the (as seen in vb's login.php), but the vB still requires a separate login. I've set the userid cookie to the userid field in the vb_user table, and I've set the password using the
md5(plaintextpassword) . LicenseNumber, but it doesn't seem to be enough.
What is the proper method?
