default avatar based on usergroup
 

heya, i'm looking for a hack/code modification allowing me to set a default avatar based on the usergroup the user is in.

i found something similar here, which doesn't tell me how to modify postbit to use a default avatar instead of a new field :)
i don't need a fancy admin-cp option for this one, code hack would be great too :nervous:

what you could do.. is set up a special rank for that usergroup.. and have a rank image assigned (AdminCP -> User Rank Management -> add a new rank) which would be their "avatar" and all you would then need to do is disable that groups avatar. That is of course if you dont want them to be able to change their avatar.
