Yes, this could be done. However, you would need to specify directly what do you want the mod to do. Thanks =)

oh thank you for replying.

1. A mod to allow admins to subscribe or unsubscribe individual member AND/OR usergroups from Forums on the vB board.

HOW ThIS MOD WILL BE USEFUL: IT WILL Give control to admins on certain NON-IT realated boards to send auto updates to members for certain forums on their vB Board.

Nice to have option:-

Admin should be able to run a query to find out which user is subscribed to which forum.

I'll will really appreciate if you or someone here could make a mod for this.

^^bump

anyone.. !?! Kindly take a look at least.

What happens on big boards where they have so many members and many dont visit back after subscribing to the threads? how do admins get rid of those extra cycles/emails?

This is what I am asking

You would need to run a query like this for every forumid (Y):

Code:

INSERT INTO subscribeforum
(userid, forumid, emailupdate)
VALUES ('X', 'Y', 'Z')

Where X is the userid of the user, Y is the forumid of the forum, and Z is the number 0 (no email updates), 2 (daily updates), or 3 (weekly updates).

This should work. You will want to backup first.

That would require custom code. For help with this I recommend you post on www.vbulletin.org.
