.tk mess up?

I run http://thevikesrike.tk , but whenever I type in my URL or click to the URL, I get a weird "Fedora Core Test Page" that comes up. Just this morning the URL worked fine... .tk is a redirect domain to this URL, which is the location of the actual site (here). Does anyone know whats up?

EDIT: Well, it seems the site is back up. Sorry about that, just got kind of worried, maybe too worried :nervous:

SECOND EDIT: OK, it's back up again. There's a message on the page that says:
Quote:

The fact that you are seeing this page indicates that the website you just visited is either experiencing problems, or is undergoing routine maintenance.
But, again, the .tk is a redirect, and the actual URL to the site works. Does this mean the company that provides the .tk is undergoing maintenance?

I don't know, but I never had any luck when I used a TK domain redirect back in the day. The problem I had was that since it masked the actual url we had cookie session problems. It's best to just shell out the 9 bucks for a domain.

Yeah, I am going to end up doing that, because everyone has told me a domain is the way to go. I have one question tho, and I guess this is offtopic, but what happens when you buy a domain (newb question, sorry.) 1And1 is my host, and if I buy a domain from them, do I need to transfer any files? Thanks for the reply Ted.

You should contact them and find out their procedure for it. I looked at their website and it looks like everything should be pretty standard. More than likely if you purchase the domain from your host they can take care of everything for you. If not its as simple as entering the nameservers into your domain.
