Call topics up via "/page.php?t=###" ?
I'm trying to sort out how I would go about calling the content of topics up in a page by the topic ID.
Basically I want to create a new post in my forum with all my words and pictures that I want. But when I show it to the public, I want it called up and displayed as a normal page not a forum page that has my avatar and everyone's comments and PM,IM,QUOTE,EMAIL, and all the typical things you see on a forum topic page. And I don't need to grab the following replies to the post. I just want to snag the original post that created the thread. And I figured it would look something like yourdomain.com/page.php?t=12345 And if this is easy to do, what would it take to ALSO display the replies/comments to that original post. I have no use for it now, but since I'm asking how to grab the original "thread starting" post ONLY, might as well be prepared for any future ideas that I might come up with. Appreciate any help you can give. |
