What's going on stats tweak
Here's my current stats display but I think the way I'm doing some of it is not very good since it adds 2 addition queries to forumhome.
http://img195.exs.cx/img195/5584/stats0fu.gif yes, i know, im purge crazy...dont care to keep users that arent active I think this can be done with a cron job to get Total Posts and Total Threads and then have the cron job insert the count into a template or table....doesnt need to be real time, once a day update is fine to get the totals and would save the queries. There's probably other methods besided a cron script but can't even imagine how myself. Should be something real simple for those with a bit of experience. I have practically none. This is how I do it now.... For Total Registrations, I just added $newuserid (stock vb stuff) For Total Threads and Total Posts, I did the following, with help from sabret00the , in the phpinclude_start template. 2 queries :cry: Code:
if (THIS_SCRIPT == 'index') Code:
<td class="alt2"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/stats.gif" alt="<phrase 1="$vboptions[bbtitle]">$vbphrase[x_statistics]</phrase>" border="0" /></td> Thanks! |
