HELP - Error with usergroup.php (related to shoutbox hack)
 

I installed the shoutbox and everything seemed to be working fine.... Then this morning I went to create a new usergroup and I got this error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/hardmcom/public_html/forums/admincp/usergroup.php on line 1399

On what I believe to be line 1399 (I don't have a proper editor and use notepad, so I pasted it in word and figured out which was line 1399) this is what I see:

16=> $vbphrase['reputation'],

Which goes with this part of the code:

Then I was able to use my usergroup manager without an error, but obviously the shoutbox stopped working..... So I put it back.... Now I am back to the point where I get an error when I click on usergroup manager.... AND I can't see the shoutbox because it says my usergroup doesn't have permission to view it.....

Can anyone help me???

First you should post in teh support thread for the hack you have a problem with, the fastest way to get support from people who wrote or use a hack.

I think your problems come because of the fact you edited with notepad. Notepad is not a suitable editor for editing your forum files.Best would be to get a decent editor before trying to modify your files.
