How to call a forumlist when 'in' a forum?
I was wondering if anyone could point me to a hack that can call a 'forum list' when viewing the contents of a forum?
For eg: In the showforum page: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=37 I'd like to show to the left, the list of the forums in the parent catergory (ie the forum list shown in this page: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=32 I have the templates already made and have created a table where I need the list to show, but can't do it :-( We only need the actual forum names/links to show, all other info is not required (ie its completed stripped). I've been told by vB that: "Any forumdisplay page will only list forums below the forum it represents. When you click on a forum on that page, it loads a new forum page which doesn't have any forums under it, so no forums are listed. Listing forums from a different level than the level of the forum would require custom code (to dynamically build the list) or hard coded HTML for the list of forums in the FORUMDISPLAY template." I guess hacks such as vBindex and other such portals 'call' such items so am thinking it is possible? Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance. |
