News System

I am attempting to intergrate a news system in with my Vb.

I have allready tried Cutenews, some of you may of heard of it.

I could not do and and could not get assistance in doing it. So have any of you done this before with a certain news system?
I was looking at vBarticle but it's too much for what i am looking for i want something simple and easy to use.

So if any of you could tell me of your past experience with this then i would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Nick

Used to have one on my site ( news.php page ), but dumped it after a while.
If you like, I could package it into an install for you.
None of the whiz bangs of the portal/news systems here, but did the job of displaying self written news for me.

I would use it if you could package it up.

For a simple news type system another choice would be the CMPS Articles Module by TomM for vBadvanced CMPS.

Example: http://www.coolscifi.com/?pg=article

The articles are pulled from a forum that you specify and then you can turn off & on some options (like showing the attachment as the thumbnail, etcetra). For that example page I gave I created a forum that is "inactive" so that it doesn't show up on the forum home page and then I specified it to be the source of the articles.

For a quick & simple article system it actually works pretty good.
