vb.org Archive - Extra input field(s) for newthread

I would love a mod that enables the first post in certain forums to have a admin designated drop down menu so a user asking for help can say what type of vehicle (could be anything) he has. This appears to be very simular to the present new thread in the mod release forums here, but for the life of me I can't find any referance to how the code is done.

I would also like the 'type' to be listed in the forum thread listing and to be searchable. I am was not sure if I should post this here, or in the mod request so if I got it wrong can some one move it please :)
