Dating Sites Using vBulletin

I have been developing dating sites for 3 years now and owned almost all of the best scripts available but i still have to see a dating site that uses vbulletin as a forum. 3 of the sites i owned all uses phpbb. I wonder if there are members here who own a dating site using vbulletin. If you have, could you please post the url and let me know what dating script you used for that? I'm just interested to see which dating script easily integrates with vb's user db. You can call this post a survey.

Thanks and regards,
Afterglow

hmmm well lovingyou.com uses vb

thanks for sharing. i checked the url you posted but i found out the forums and the dating site are separate. the forums are lovingyou.com owned but the dating site is an affiliate program being run by epersonals.

i'm looking for a dating site that has only one login for both the forums and the dating site.

regards,
afterglow

Hello Afterglow,
It's not a dating site, but we created a penpals script that integrates VB users.

I think it really doesn't matter what script you use because almost anything can be integrated with VB and that's why we love it.

Best Regards...

Is that penpals script available?
These people claimed that they've integrated, but I personally don't trust them

Hi Lionel, I've responded to your pm.

I was looking at the screen shots for the admin demo of http://www.aewebworks.com/demo.htm and it looks like it has some nice features that would be nice to have on vbulletin.

What exactly goes into one of these sites? I do not see how it would be difficult to modify vBulletin to manage one, but then again I have never been on the admin side of one of these sites.

So far I know it requires the following:

New set of profile fields/page in the user cp to list information about yourself
New set of profile fields/page in the user cp to list information about what you are looking for in a person
Ability to upload multiple profile pictures in the usercp
- A way to manage all this new info in the admin cp

Ability to search for people based on gender/age.

'Photo-gallery' like script to display a quick overview of profiles

Is that it or is there a lot more I'm missing? :)

be careful with these people. Besides the fact that they are very expensive, they want you to sign a form where you agree never to badmouth them or complain about them (I read that as them asking for a license to stick it to you), and you cannot get a straight answer from them. A bunch of aggressive liers. But granted, script looks nice.

On the example above, they claim that they can have their site as front and automatically signup new members into vb. That's easy. But integrating existing members..... different story

there is also a nice template mod at vbtemplates:
