Looking for a PM mod
 

We just came to VB from Invision and one thing I'm a tad disappointed with so far is the read your members PM mods. On Invision we could simply log into our Admin panel and we could see a list of every PM that was sent (date, who from, who to, title and then could click the title and read it). It was set up pretty much just like the PM inboxes were and was very easy to use. It was easy to track when a lot of PMs were flying between members and easy to see when issues needed to be moderated better. The only thing I've found on VB requires use of the member id and only the main Admin can use it. Is this correct? Is there anyway that someone could develop a hack more closely resembling the one at Invision? I'd be forever in debt to you!!! :)

Nothing in this world is private anymore, Paul. Tis a sad thing. lol

When you own a parenting board and have some young kids on there, there are times when reading PMs is essential, for the wellbeing of the younger members. I don't remember asking anyone for feedback on it though. If we were talking about all adults, it would be different but when we've found links to our site on various fetish sort of groups, I prefer to keep my members and their families as safe as possible. :) If that means reading PMs from time to time when we think that there is something that could be going on that shouldn't be, then yep, I'll read them.
Being its a site geared to moms and kids, I think you'd probably stick out. Maybe shave your legs and the hair off your chest and we'll see what we can do....

The hack that is there is the one that uses individual searches using the member id, right? That is not what I'm looking for. What I'm requesting is one that is MUCH more simple to use. I might be able to get a screen shot from our old Invision boards if you want to see that for an idea of what I'm refering to.

(And yes, I can be just as much of a smart ass as the rest of ya). :)

I decided to take a crack at this and so far everything is going okay. I jsut got to set up a few more things on it and you'll be set. :p

Mine is something like that, trying to add were mulitpule pages are used if to many pm's.
